Second thing is that the search chest doesnt add to inventory , you left a perfectyl fine Rational Consumption above the chest after spending some thousands gold to look for it.

Hey Runner, Today we are doing some late summer renovations. Pimm already sacrificed his sanity and cleaned up the Preset Tag on the boards and added the new DLC characters. Give him a big thank you for that.

With the addition of the DLC two new characters are available without any unlocks which is why Fresh File has now 3 Sub Categories for each Character. We decided to do it that way to as each character has big differences and would cause the least problems in competition that way.

Furthermore something even more important : As many of you know, we dumped R1 as it was just easier R7 back then and people just ran the highest. With the addition of 1.0 and R8 things changed a little bit as R8 adds significant differences that are only available with it. Though in recent updates, R8 has become a massive -often unfun- RNG-fest filled with Shields and Immortality events. The DLC update added some new fresh air into reincarnation in form of "Spirit Link" and "Mysterious Jokul" mode. This brought up the question :

Should we add R1 to the board again ?

R1 may be faster than nightmare due to blessings and such, but the new additionsbring a little bit more variety to runs. Additionally the modes are valid for both R1 and R8 difficulty and as advice you should activate them as they can give pretty neat bonuses and in case of any% the Jokul mode adds only benefits in form of more rerolls.

As stated in the News Post there has been some internal discussions on the potential of changing the Foundry Only Rule Set to accommodate the changes brought by 1.0.

The addition of Act 4+R8 as well new characters caused a shift in the Foundry Only runs away from its initial spirit, back when there was only Ao Bai and Crown Prince. Ever since Qing it went towards skill only use with the Foundry barely touched for other characters and the addition of Act 4 and R8 made it increasingly harder to keep going with using your Foundry as your main dmg source.

Hence there will now be a voting and discussion on whether scaling should be allowed ( picking up a weapon not to be used but upgraded) to potentially bring the Foundry aspect of this category back and making higher difficulties not a coin flip for success in this ( looking at you Monarch)

General Recording :

Displaying the run in "Player Information" (NOT the challenge success but the one in the tavern ! ) after completion is now mandatory . Any runs that are submitted as of this moment of posting will still be accepted but future runs rejected if they do not contain the Player Info screen.

Version: If you are playing on an older patch instead of the latest patch, you need to state explicitly in the run submission which patch you are playing on. i.e. "Pre-nerf Justice Patch" or "Dec 15 2020 Patch <- Other solutions are being worked on to make this easier

The version has been there but we want to stress the mandatory aspect of it more clearly. Please mark your runs accordingly , we are leaving this up to your goodwill but should be find that there is abuse or neglect of this we have to take action accordingly. Don't make it harder on anyone
