Don’t have much time to mess with it right now, but if you come out of a diagonal drill without hitting the ground too soon and you don’t hold a direction you’ll keep the speed for a little ways. Probably useful in like one spot lol

In Area 3, right before the last save you have the room with the presses that move up like elevators. Right at the beginning of the room you can move them down, climb the left wall, and push the falling one up with Flashfield to get to another treadmill and skip the lower half of the room. Here’s some tweets with pictures that describe what I mean: https://mobile.twitter.com/CrimsonSmasher/status/966413366372720640 https://mobile.twitter.com/CrimsonSmasher/status/966413618815238144 https://mobile.twitter.com/CrimsonSmasher/status/966414526139662337

Just avoid the platforms to the right because they tend to just crush you for no apparent reason. You might be able to get all the way up but I could only get to the second belt on the left comfortably.

You can also just climb the next shaft instead of slowly riding the press up. You have to get off Sophia before stepping on the press though. Getting the life up is easy too, if you care.

One last tidbit is that, for whatever reason, you can summon Sophia on or under presses when you couldn’t normally put Sophia there. Sophia will either zip out or get stuck entirely. Not really seeing a lot of potential in this quirk but you never know.

Been messing around with the game today and found that if you dash diagonally downwards into the ground and then jump you get a ton of speed and momentum. It’s... Like a wavedash. Except on steroids.

Dunno what prerelease has been like for the game so sorry if it’s old news. (And I didn’t look very hard at the submitted run. Super sorry in advance lol.) Either way it’s a cool topic to start discussion on over here...

Well, if it’s old, any good uses for it yet? I can imagine a few bigger skips already.

IGT should be acceptable right? And maybe screenshots can be accepted too? Timer seems to work well but there'll be some "grinding" for some characters... Gunvolt will want to wait between rounds for his SP to refill namely.

A category for every solo character makes sense, but for Co-op I guess it'll all go in one category since I doubt it'll be run enough to warrant separating it all...

Well if you guys end up accepting screenshots I'll have a few to submit.

Unlockable spoilers ahead guys.

As my tweet says you can crouch on platforms and ride them into walls, but only certain ones. If they have Eggman's face then you can't enter them at all.

The top of the shaft that fills with water and has the blocks you can clip with the top ones and save some walking.

Found 'em during my Ekoro play through a little while back.

First gives you underwater mobility in Sophia while out of water... Until you leave the ground. Stand in this pool of water to the left and then jump and Spark Tackle into the tunnel to the right. You'll be pushed up and out of the water without your state being properly changed, and you'll be moving at a snail's pace.

The second is in the same tunnel, and I have no idea how I did it. I was goofing around and jumping when suddenly I clipped into the ceiling. Didn't notice right away so I popped out... And then I accidentally did it again moments later and haven't been able to recreate it since. Yeah, no screenshot either...

Actually, I discovered the previous glitch while trying this one. There may be a connection, but if I did the water glitch the first time I clipped I certainly didn't notice.

You know the area 6 map trick? Apparently you can use the remote blast to blow open any wall like that from the wrong side, even if the weak point is on the next screen. Like in the area 8 map dungeon.

Yaknow the worm gate things in area 7?

Yeah well for whatever reason they basically don't have collision if you're out of Sophia and get hit.

Doing it there ends up leading to this save, and yes you can die and respawn on it. The problem is that this doesn't save any time...

I'm thinking the same thing might apply to other temporary walls, like the yellow wall dudes, which may be something actually useful. Perhaps we could lure something over to the wall guy in area 1 or 5 and eventually work out a way to skip Mother Brain.
