There's a woolly discord here ( https://discord.gg/F4Rtmx ) & there's also the Yoshi (mostly y.i.) speedrunning discord ( https://discord.gg/DS5Yen ) but any invites I make expire in 1 day XD sorry I can't be of more help.
Hello/ would I be able to be added as a moderator for Yoshi's Woolly World (https://www.speedrun.com/yww) I've been waiting on run verification for a while & tried contacting mods but to no avail.
I'm not 100% if i'm understanding the question but i'll do my best to answer.
The bottom left video is doing backflutters during this section for the kickback speed boost which is the method I would use (and I believe is used in the 1 controller ILs for any%).
I am not too familiar with the any% route, but I can't see any reason you wouldn't do back flutters and move faster. So assuming the top right video is WR, I would just wager that the WR is not that refined.
I hope this answers your question.
I mean, there's nothing really to explain here it's just walking but w/e, hope this somehow helps somebody.
Sorry to post in such a dead thread but I didn't feel like I could justify making a new one.
I did the run for the kinda any% thing where you just sleep until grandpa shows up because It takes no time and I felt like it (I called it 0% because I didn't know what name to use)
It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if this is never a category since I obviously don't really run Stardew but if it becomes a category I'd submit it.
They're around
If I remember right, you're just doing a risky shuffle through a load zone then eating either a food item to go flying up, or a potion to go falling down.
If you still have your save before the final boss, you can pratice using the food glitch to climb the tower probably.
Do we have rules for transformation sequence for IL's? If I remember right the animation can only be skipped from restarting the level after reaching transformation, and the controls popup doesn't happen either?
I was more so curious about the timing points so I can submit future runs accurately, more specifically I'm not 100% sure on when the start is, does gain control happen when the hearts appear or your character moves or something else?
Great to hear, would it be possible to get screenshots or a video with a timer showing these points or something? If so that would be greatly appreciated.
I was practicing against steel maggot and hit one of the wrong buttons :( I tried to hit steel maggot again as it was firing it's projectiles thinking that's when the buttons reset, but after I hit it, it didn't fire at all. This is the first time I've seen this happen and it's certainly not something I knew about, so on the off-chance anyone is interested here's the footage.
(I hope this helps someone fight bad maggot RNG).
