haha fun watch, seems like a pretty solid route as well! Nicely done!
This is VERY well done, color me impressed. TAS'ers are a special breed of amazing, would really love to see this redone with some of the newer skips.
We should compete in the puddle jumping minigame for the best time. I would love to try out Fridge% as well a boss rush
Ah wow I didn't expect the different games to have different mechanics, thanks all for the info! I'm not sure where to get JP carts so it's good to know that a good time can be achieved on an NTSC cart.
Hey there! Was just poking around in Discord chat and dug up an old convo about version differences and I thought that it'd be a great idea to post/confirm the version differences that are known. It seems JP is a bit faster than NTSC but PAL is incredibly slower.
Here's what Deku King had to say about it: Deku King - 04/19/2017 no, but jp is ~20 faster then us and PAL is ~4 minutes slower
EDIT: I believe this is purely in reference to N64 console versions, which is the info I'm interested in as I'm planning on running on NTSC N64
If or When some or all of you folks get modded do you want to create a Discord server for Kamiko? Would be nice to further grow this game's community. I kind of searched for a server in the general speedrunning Discord's other-serer bot but Kamiko wasn't listed.
I'd like to know if this is possible for individual level leaderboards?I don't have a way to capture my Switch gameplay yet but I have some decent times on a few levels (not the fourth ughhh) and really only a screenshot to prove it. I plan on eventually setting up a capture card to record and stream so I can submit videos for RTA.
Thanks for this list! I'm just starting to get into speedrunning and I absolutely LOVE N64 so I have quite a few carts to start me off, Turok 2 Seeds of Evil being apart of it, love the Turok series. Also wanted to get some runs in of Gauntlet Legends which literally has only two runners submit for the leaderboards. Promoting competition will make the PB grinds a lot more fun and it's how communities are created.
