It's a big time waste to get a bad board then have to wait a long time for it to be over, so am I allowed to turbo to speed up the previous board and stop it before starting my actual run? I feel like that should be allowed, but the rules mention needing to record audio for authenticity and ofc the audio during turbo mode would be sped up, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks!
We have Complete Pokédex, but what about Complete Pokédex in Two Games? (One game played on the Ruby field and one played on the Sapphire field). I'm still far from an expert on this game (honestly I'm still working on completing the Pokédex untimed/playing through the game to learn more with experience), but would that be possible to complete the Pokédex in only two games, assuming someone can of course survive long enough to catch em all?
Ok thank you so much benchbotch, I didn't know that so I'm glad you told me. Thank you a ton, I'll make sure to stop doing that. And yeah those other people must just not know that, if I ever watch any of their videos where they do that I'll let them know.
I've seen many speedruns start out by once the world loads, the player toggles perspectives and inspects the world around them to plan where they're gonna go. That inspection time doesn't count towards their time because the timer starts when they make their first movement.
I'm curious, what is the time limit to this? Is there one? The reason I ask is because if I'm doing a cake speedrun and I load a new world and spawn next to a chicken, am I allowed to sit there for five minutes and wait for it to plop out an egg before I start moving and start my timer? I know that probably sounds unreasonable but I feel like that inspection would be allowed by the same rule that allows people to toggle perspectives and inspect their world before their timer starts.
TLDR; is there a time limit to inspect your new world before you make a move and the timer starts? Serious question.
