If I want to do 4 or 8 characters runs, I have to use 2 computers at once ? What's the point of this rule ? No one seem to do the 8 players run and only a handful of 4 players run.

I'm interested in speedrunning Fallout 4, and after watching the two current best runs, I would like it if someone could explain me the glitch done there (at 55:17) : What I understand is while quicksaving, loading a save is bugged and let you keep your progress ? And how do you do this glitch ? Just Quicksave and Load or is there anything more to do ?
