I can't really give a concrete number on how much time all the strats save, as there is so much variability between runners. Some 1p2c strats are necessary for all runners imo. Examples would be like the levers in Count Dooku (GC exclusive), both 2 player warps in Chancellor, the ramp in the first room of Theed, etc. You can get away without doing smaller 1p2c timesaves like in Negotiations, Kamino, etc. But it becomes a subconcious effort once you play enough that it shouldn't be a problem playing with 2 controllers for any given level.
Yeah, I'll probably make them sub categories, instead of just being a variable on the leaderboards. This would go under the 'Champion' category, btw.
Hello, I made a game request for WWE Road to WrestleMania X8 as part of the WWE series ( https://www.speedrun.com/wwe ). I'm posting in this thread because my game request is likely to not be verified for the foreseeable future, considering the series moderator ( https://www.speedrun.com/user/RobotCrocodilz ) has been inactive on SRC for well over a year, and has no contact information on his profile. This wouldn't be problem, expect for the fact that this person is the one and ONLY series moderator for the WWE series. So, you can obviously see that this form of inactivity would be a problem for those wishing to request new games as part of the franchise's leaderboard.
A solution that I propose would have to be promoting one of the active mods, from a game in the franchise, as a series moderator. This would ensure that the supermod would be knowledgeable to some extent, and would be active in verifying game requests or runs for the WWE series. Or just promote me as a series moderator, since I am also knowledgeable with games in the franchise. Let me know what can be done, and thanks for reading!
I'm all in favour of GamingLand becoming a mod. He's already very active in the community and in running this game. Not to mention, there are a lot of inactive mods for the leaderboard which postpones the verification process to the point where it could discourage new runners from playing the game. On a final note, there are quite of a few runs that might need retiming or double-checking, and I think GamingLand can do a good job of cleaning the leaderboard.
Pretty sure my "Back Attack" run needs to be re-timed. Going frame-by-frame in the YouTube player, you'll notice that my timer starts 0.130 seconds BEFORE "start" is first visible. The run ends when the timer reads 12.730 seconds, which is what was submitted to the leaderboard. Subtracting the the two times gives 12.600 seconds.

Feel free to call me out if I'm wrong.
Hello, I'm making this forum post with the intent of pointing out what I believe to be a verification error with some times on the leaderboards. Just so that I don't embarrass anyone, a 'specific' user has started their timer AFTER the "start" has disappeared, and some of these times have been verified despite this. Just as a reminder, the timer for these categories should begin when "start" is FIRST displayed.
I want to point this out because it goes against the rules for the categories this user has times in. Even timing the videos from this user myself, I can safely say that their WR in "Back Attack", 2nd place in "Splash Bash", and 2nd place in "Roll to the Goal", should likely be re-timed to align with the appropriate rules for those categories.
If I'm in the wrong, and this user has started their timer correctly, I'll take down this post. Sorry for the inconvenience, didn't know where else to post this, and I hope this issue can be resolved.
Found both these skips about a month ago, but didn't make a video on them until my capture card came in the mail. 2 player warping can be done slightly faster, but I was playing the game on my laptop with a 1 second input delay (oops). 1:02:00 is now very possible, and 1:01:00 might be achievable in theory or as a SoB.
