I don't know of a way to upload a run to this website directly from a console, but if you know how to do that then feel free. You do not need to include the timer for console runs.
I really appreciate everyone's input on this! We're going to consider it within the context of our own game and community and figure out how to move forward.
Hi, I'm a longtime moderator of a few obscure games on this platform and I've run into a potential issue regarding a newly released game in which a very significant skip seems to (at this time) require quitting to the desktop and restarting the game.
I'm just here to solicit opinions regarding whether or not this is allowed in your games, maybe reasons for or against it?
My concern is that it opens up windows for cheating, and I know a lot of games typically don't allow it, but I know a lot of other games do. How do you or your mods typically handle these sorts of skips?
Thank you for your input :)
I can imagine that defining what is and isn't a glitch in this game would become quite difficult. If someone were to do a glitchless run that I could watch I would consider adding the category, but I don't want to add it without at least one run to put on the board.
I've added Switch to the list of consoles and switch runs will be accepted in the same manner as other console runs.
You smash the final boss in the face as the last hit. Whether it's with the seed or your fist is questionable, who knows, but that is the last gameplay input outside of mashing text in the final cutscene.
The only current run stopped the timer later than this because these rules were just updated yesterday.
If I've experienced this specific "snagging boards" issue, how would I go about contacting someone to potentially resolve it?
Hey everyone, I've started a discord for anyone interested in running Runic Games' upcoming action-adventure game Hob. I'm pretty hype about this game and hope that it will turn out to have great speedrunning potential.
Here's the permalink: https://discord.gg/GGvGUUc
I looked for other posts regarding a discord for the game and couldn't find any, but if you have one already feel free to let me know.
Ok, I just didn't want to have the game be rejected because the example video was a bad run. Thanks :)
Hiya, I recently submitted a game request for a new game on behalf of our small community. I wanted to get the ball rolling on the request as soon as possible so I submitted my "video proof" as my blind "speedrun" (with a timer), just so there would be a video on the submission.
Since then, the game has evolved rapidly and the run is much improved (submission run is 2:48:00, current WR is 57:41).
Is it possible to edit a game request to link the run that is more reflective of where the game is at?
