Running on an actual PSP console should be fine. I don't think I've seen anyone run it on PSP before though so not sure how the load times from the UMD disc work out and if they're slower or not.
Quite like a lot of the changes overall and rebuilding everything must have been a monumental effort so big congrats! Definitely a few issues though with things that have been lost in the rebuild, that others have already pointed out, though it seems like a couple have already been fixed so good stuff. I kinda get standardising the game cover pictures but it does make some look really messy now, especially gameboy titles that are usually square, but this might just take a little readjustment on the cropping front of the images. I do love the new history option on leaderboard though, much nicer way to view it than just graphs.
The reason PSP Emulation isn't allowed is because the PSP version of rondo is already an emulator so effectively you'd be emulating an emulator. It was decided a while ago to be banned due to the inaccuracies that can cause, as well as PSP emulation in general having issues. Bizhawk for PCE however is accepted.
It's certainly a little confusing that everything takes up more space on the profile but the most important piece of information (the time) is now tiny. The game groups/ordering and the featured run additions seem nice though.
The whip crash does seem to be slow DPS compared to just whipping. However, I did use it to skip past the the blocks that spawn during the mummy boss fight making it much easier and quicker. There may be similar applications elsewhere but I haven't spent too much time with the category yet.
Hey, I was wondering if there was any chance we could have a whip only category. Its actually quite fun, especially since whip upgrades are not a thing in this game. Here's an example run I did on WiiVC. Quick note, this run used a fresh file in the same manner as any% and used the flame whip item crash since that can be used in drax X whip only.
