Honestly Ive looked at all the versions and there isn't going to be separate versions for each platform. There's not significant differences.
Thank you very much RaveTuba for your contribution to the community! Feel free to give the game a run!
Updated categories
Here's a discord server for all SI speed games https://discord.gg/BUNBe9Z
Yea you're totally right, Ill add any% categories for all difficulties.
If you submit a n64 run and there are enough differences I make a new category, Ive never seen the n64 version before.
Sorry about getting to your question so late xelnia. Anyway, yes console run are accepted. On to your first question, replay's will no longer be accepted, however this rule will only effect runs after October 16th, 2016.
Showing failed attempts would work too, I'll update rules this weekend
If there was the be a tie down to the second I would personally go and time the milliseconds my self. However, this will rarely (or maybe never) happen so I'm not too worried. Also with split timers the runner will lose focus in the middle of a run trying to hit the split key. With a game as fast paced as this one that's not a good thing. Additionally runners on the mobile platform cannot have splits.
The times for score runs are ranked in ascending order because of that reason. This is because the more time left on the clock the faster you got a 2,000,000/3,000,000 score. So the higher the time the better you do. I would like to avoid split timers when possible as they're a slight inconvenience.
[big]These rules apply to ALL Pac-Man Championship Edition DX[/big]
First off, it shouldn't need saying, but someone will try it: NO TAS and submit your run under the right platform.
[section=Verification and Proof]
IMPORTANT: As of October 17th, 2016 replay's will NOT be accepted. Any runs before that date are permitted to say on the leader board.
Due to the amount of ties possible you NEED proof the run is yours. There are two ways you can prove this:
When recording a run, at some point in the video you must show a view of your desktop (for PC) or the XBoxOne or PS4 interface. [center]OR[/center] The harder but nicer option is if you are on PC is to include a time stamp which can found in the task bar, usually here:
Runs previous to this rule change (before April 23rd, 2016) will NOT be removed.
[section=Levels and Boards] Levels that can be ran and what shorts they have are found here: Level Spreadsheet
Any further questions can be posted below.
http://spore.wikia.com/wiki/Philosophy This article explains it. The carnivore, herbivore. and omnivore categories only take into account 3 of 10 archetypes. Those of which are Shaman, Trader, and Warriror. The only archetype that won't work would be Wanderer since you would have to start the game in space stage to get it.
It's like any% but you have to become that archetype, so zealot% would be doing any% as a zealot
I don't know what it would be called, but getting the Omnipotent Master Badge. A possible name could be Omnipotent%. It would only be like 3 hours long.
I don't have a vote but I think if we are going to make videos require we should remove all runs that don't have videos. It just seems more fair imo. People shouldn't benefit from doing a run before a rule change.
Do I, however, I like the idea of changing it to sub hour runs requiring videos.
Alright, it has been added, Im having slight concerns with the balance of the levels. For now though running dungeon is fine. I couple other levels are allowed for speedrunning: Free, Big eater, and Half due to their imbalances.
Its not just the PC versions, it also the console versions. Mobile runs are allowed but will be ranked lower.
