There was a lot of action on this Cruisn USA Speedrun page in recent weeks. New categories were created for blue Jeep and non-blue Jeep NG+, and a sub 20 was posted as the new WR in the NG (New Game) category with the discovery of that 2 player speed boost strategy.

Though I was impressed by the new 2 player strategy and WR time, I did personally feel that this should have been placed in its own category.

Nevertheless, something seems to have happened since all this occurred... Categories seem to have been reverted, and the sub 20 is no longer atop the NG leaderboard (now incorrectly labeled "Any%" for some reason).

Some forum posts here from a "Deleted user" may have explained what happened in regards to the reverted categories and times, but those posts appear to be gone.

Anyone able to provide details?

I won't get much into it but the TLDR is the following:

- Garrett (CatchUp2RNGMoney) got upset at the Crusi'n World mods for not using his discord link.
- Garrett decided to remove all his times, and leave the discord.
- Garrett came back on several accounts, each time, he progressively got more hostile toward everyone.
- Eventually, the decision was made that he would be banned from the discord for 3 months and 1 day.
- He deleted his src account.

@N69N69 Coming from someone who literally sent DM to random people on the site to promote this game, that seems like a really genuine explanation.

There was a time when we had more active runners than Mario Kart. I was proud of that, and its sad what happened. You all turned on me, probably the most toxic thing I've ever witnessed, and it happened to me. Weeks of volunteered time, bounty contests, I was about to promote it on SRC official streams and backed out right before the scheduled slot because you guys drained enough out of me.

GMP, Is promotion a bad thing? Not sure what you mean.

I was frustrated how toxic the community had become which is why I was upset & left, I wasn't banned during my runs, they banned me after I left because my friends were joining the discord and sticking up for me, we all sat and watched this happen day after day and thought it was ridiculous. Wouldnt say I was being hostile, I personally don't know what made you guys feel endangered in any way. But yeah, anyways thanks for accepting the run, ill be moving on from this dramatic incident that had been essentially fished for. Its easy to hate someone for trying to grow a community, when the community wants to remain stagnant. I wasn't willing to wait weeks for voting on tiny things like a discord link, was affecting my life pushing for changes that were proven to have grown the community as it was. Mike was an individual I brought on because I needed help with the changes, and he's essentially what caused all of this, worst mistake I've ever made. Take care guys

& GMP trust me I don't intend on ever wasting my time promoting on this TOS disaster ever again. Growing a community on SRC is down-right evil apparently, I mean i don't know what I was thinking... sharing the news of an updated board? Thats just bad business I realize that now... All these ads I see on my screen right now are essentially the same thing, but let's take a moment to thank them for great ads such as TipTop mens casualwear & businesswear.. I personally can't wait to sign up for exclusive offers.. oh how about the Astro NXT GEN ads i see 1000 times a day, damn... gotta love those ones, so greatful they pay SRC so we can continue to get these huge developer updates that don't appear to be showing yet, maybe I just need to update my browser & than they'll show up.. I personally cannot believe how scummy I was not paying SRC to talk about changes made to the Cruisn board that I volunteered weeks of my time too. I can't believe what I was thinking, ill never forgive myself. I'm sure if I paid I could also have got an ad on this site as well. Yeah let's pay SRC to grow SRC. It makes so much sense, my mind was so gone back than don't know what I was thinking.

@N69N69 I randomly remember this and come back here every once in a while to have a good laugh. And you didn't disappoint this time either. As an outsider the only thing I care about is the fact that you spammed a couple of people I know, and yeah that's bad. It leaves a bad impression about not only you, but the whole community. They fact that they kicked you out only reassures me that community is in better hands now. Also congrats on deleting the post that I originally replied to like a coward.
