Random element to this game

Dunno if this is known but it appears to me that sometimes even if you take the same route, you can be locked out on continuing still. This could be a glitch and will only happen one time.

44 (billion) is needed to be able to pick up the slightly bigger blocks but you can see I wasn't able to pick them up until around 63 (billion)

I noticed something like this in both Arcadia (box versioon) and Cafe Internets, sometimes I can't pick the keyboard, sometimes I can. Not really sure. The variance might not be too big but this implies there are routes riskier than others by this rng.

Also when practicing arcadia I got this "bad rng" three times in a row which might mean we could manip somehow or that the seed it set somewhere along with the menu, but I'm not sure

Part of this I believe has to do with your momentum and the angle at which you approach objects; when you collide fast enough with an object (usually by getting bumped or pinched out of an area) you can typically get objects you normally can't

Double posting to say that I'm more inclined to believe some sort of RNG or unknown element exists now based on the first level

If you check out my most recent pb for the first stage you'll see that I pick up the lantern right after getting off the table. This is a pretty huge time save but I have no idea how to make it consistent

I tried to get the lantern for about 20 mins but I couldn't pick it up once. I will say something I did notice while trying this though. The score doesn't increase on the UI but still increases in the background. I wonder if possibly you're picking up an object you shouldn't be (somehow the ones under the table are hitting you) and you just don't realise. I checked this in cheat engine to see.

Maybe related to this, I have this bad habit of holding arrow keys before the stage starts and somehow I start at very weird spots maybe what happens is that you get stuff during the load and there's a "pause" between your movements and the stage fully loading that could reset your position to the initial one?

Holding arrow keys during loading actually lets you move through the stage before seeing anything; that's intentional.

I don't think it resets your position because I have definitely gained a lot more distance from holding forward down while loading which is important in a lot of stages

IDK if this is random but I don't know where else to put this.

I think I may have picked up the collision for the counter because I was able to walk through it. This turned a 69~ remaining on the timer into a 71.

As a side note: I think picking up the lantern on the first level has something to do with the run speed you have down the ramp going to it. I managed to get it 3 times in a row before because of the speed. So give yourself a big run up before going down. Check the IL to see what I mean. Doesn't work all the time however.

So there's some hidden variable in each object requiring a ratio of score and player velocity to see if the player can pick up the object? So to get all the problematic objects, we reach the normal score that would obtain it, and maintain a large velocity when picking it up perhaps?
