There really should only be 1 category for any%. The separate platforms have a filter for them and it looks infinitely more professional that way.
The initial reasoning behind this is that the game runs a LOT slower on PS3 compared to PS4, making it terrible to compare them directly. IIRC when the run was posted, the current filter didn't exist. I'll remove the separate categories.
It also runs a lot slower on ps4 than it does on ps4 pro. And even slower on Ps vita (the game litterally stops to load occasionally when your mid game). We could take out load times for the game time completely. Taking out load times would also make a lot more skips viable. Lol
I am interested in removing load times to make runs more comparable between consoles etc. It's just a little more tedious as it'd have to be manual (they may vary?). How does removing load times make skips more viable exactly?
Because there's many places that leaving the game and returning saves time without loads. But isn't worth it if you keep loads. There's about 6 or 7 places to quit and reload.
I'm curious about this. This doesn't sound like you're referring to skipping the cutscenes before levels. Is it more like going from 1-2 to 1-3 and instead of waiting for the camera to pan around, you just quit and replay from 1-3?
I suppose without loads and by using RTA timing, it makes sense that would be permitted in the run.
Not between chapter cutscenes. When you enter a new area and the game saves you can quit and load and it usually puts your further in the game. Take a look at my run and up to scaffolding, when I enter the scaffolding area I quit to the main menu and then I press continue, it brings me to the end of the level.
Yeah what you said is correct by the way. As it is right now there only 1 place in the game that it's faster including the load times.
Ah yes I see now. Definitely another reason to push for RTA without loads. I suppose that should be the next point in discussion?
