Suggestion: Make all "solo toontask" category runs be on Toontown Offline

Just to clear up any discrepancies about what is "soloing" and what isn't. There'd of course be rules against commands.

there might be discrepancies between ttoff and ttr, maybe show the options folder before and after you start/stop the timer? there might also be hardcoded differences, i havent dont much testing

I feel it comes down to the integrity of the run. If it's obvious that a lot of it is being done with a second toon, or help from a friend, it should be co-op. Not that it means anything less to have a co-op record. Solo should be there so that people who don't have access to a high toon or a friend with high toons, can still participate and compete without being automatically at a loss because they don't have that advantage.

Then why are you counting your runs where all your followers are helping you as co-op? @Megasnoop

@Ross If a Mod feels they should be switched to Co-op, I wouldn't mind. My point is, that people are caring waaaaaaay too much about the differences between solo and co-op. There's a gray line that makes the difference between them and a run could look like it's solo to one person and co-op to another. But that DOESN'T CHANGE the fact that it's still a good time.

I mean to be fair you basically asked for invasions and jellybeans and stuff and imo I think that should make it co-op but obviously its the mods decision.

I personally think that the concept of a "solo run" in an online game is kinda flawed anyways. Most runs are gonna be streamed one way or another, and so if you're a bigger streamer like Aaron, you're gonna have an inherent advantage of people summoning invasions (i.e. the Minglers for the key) and generally helping you out to getting things done quicker, especially with the new rule of "no help over voice chat" and "no running a 2nd toon", which is the only way invasions are gonna get summoned. The rules are just going to end up getting too vague, so I figured this was the logical proposal (or just eliminate the solo category entirely since I don't really see anyone running it).

Of course a question that would need to be asked for TTOff runs on the the DDock tasks and on would be, are we going to allow players to max their gags via commands? I personally think we should and this really would make the later tasks a lot more accessible to run considering you don't have to work your toon up through whatever neighborhood every time you wanna do a run. And if we want to make TT speedruns a competitive thing, most players are gonna end up maxing their gags anyways before doing a run.

I don't think TTOff runs should be the same category, they should definitely be separate

I agree that Toontown Offline runs should be a separate game/"platform" due to the fact that Toontown Rewritten may change tasks that Toontown Offline does not, along with potential speed differences in the versions of the engine used and other factors. Of course, we'd have to deal with how to handle Toons that are in states that are impossible to achieve in TTR (like having all 7 gag tracks).

Toontown Offline would cause a massive problem as at that point you're free to edit the game code as much as you want, which would result in people abusing this
