So the previous post was already locked (less than 22 hours) and I managed to get to where they are (thought I was the first too). However, one can still make it to the first stone pillar through regular jumping and jump attack in midair. I guess the question is this: Should one make it to the second pillar (I'm still giving it my all with LJA's from the cliff), can someone actually get a LJA -HIGH- enough to get to the second cliff? If that is possible, then EMS can be done.
TL;DR- If one can get to the second pillar, can a LJA get high enough to reach a cliff?
Edit: As far as I can tell, I can't reach that second pillar through LJA from the starting cliff, but I get close. I'm not super experienced in speedrunning, but I'm doing this to see if it's possible. That being said, maybe you guys can tell if it's possible to LJA from the first pillar (as pictured) to the second pillar? I can't figure it out without doing it blind. Still trying though.
Sadly no, you can't get across there without the bridges apparently, we tried pretty hard. Also going there as human won't give u EMS cause you can't open the sacred grove without howling sadly. Rupee Slide would be too slow.
Aw really? Thought there might have been a way to clip around that since the section was meant for a wolf and not human. I 100% thought I was onto something when I first landed on the wall on the first LJA. Turns out that not only was I not the first, but it leads to a dead end and I spent 6 hours trying to get it.
Would I be right in assuming we can't even reach the second pillar? Every time I tried I fell short, but the one jump from the first pillar had promise but was a blind jump. Couldn't tell if I was too far to the side or too short.
Poster of the other thread here, after tons and tons of grinding I finally went into dolphin to see what would actually happen if you entered sacred grove as human. And as TreZc0 pointed out, you have to howl to enter sacred grove but you also have to howl to activate the master sword puzzle.
So even if we could get in, we'd have 2 walls to get around :/
That being said I do think it's possible to get in...
Well here's a thought: has anyone tried this on the GCN version? With emulators and hacks/cheats/tool assist, we might be able to test it and see if it WAS possible with glitches. I haven't seen anything of that nature since we had a working method before.
Plus, we could see what would happen if we sequence break and go through to the sacred grove as human and complete it. At the very least it would give us an idea of what we're up against.
Edit: so the first door remains closed after going through the story like normal. If one can use this opportunity to find a way through the door then we may stand a chance. Otherwise that's it. I don't know of any wall clip glitches or where the seams are for the area. I still stand by using an emulator on the GCN version to see if it was possible before or not.
