Checkpoint Save Files for Practice (Windows)

By conormcmahonconormcmahon Last updated 6 Aug 2020

This guide will help you create a practice folder like this: https://imgur.com/a/NppwXGc
Each .swf file other than the first one will have a different checkpoint saved, and by setting this to read-only, it will mean collecting other checkpoints will not ruin your file. Going back to the menu and pressing continue, or dying, will revert you back to the original checkpoint.

1)Create a folder for your practice files
2)Download the .swf files from the resources tab, unzip and paste them into the folder
3)Launch one of the .swf files you've downloaded. Make sure you launch it from your practice folder. You will probably get an error message, just press either of the buttons and the game will run normally
4)Launch Run
5)Type in %appdata% and hit enter
6)Go into the files: Macromedia, Flash Player, #SharedObjects, AWS5WRTR, localhost, Users and then locate your practice folder. It should have a folder called "_Tiny Castle.swf" or "Checkpoint 1.swf" or similar.
7)Download the save files from the resources tab
8)Unzip the save files you've downloaded, and paste the folders into here.

And that's all there is to it!

Make sure you don't change the name of any .swf files, or move your practice folder. If you do, you will have to change the name of the folder inside the Macromedia folder as well, or move your save files to mirror the new location, respectively.
