i am planning to do a console run on akumu. So i watched the speedruns by speedmartyr and number007-desu. And i noticed that they are using the trick where you load an autosave right before you die or mess something up. But i thought this was not allowed? I am very confused. Am i allowed to do this for my run?

those runs were submitted BEFORE we officially decided and voted on that ruleset. So I decided to keep those runs on the boards. Before that vote it was a kinda "unwritten" rule to not do it, but not forbidden! It is banned now to do it.

It's crazy how I had the EXACT same question. I'm glad it got cleared up thanks amawolf! I'm looking forward to seeing some of your runs soon.
