These rules will be in effect on April 2nd 2022 at 12AM UTC

Following the previous news post. RetroArch is set to be banned in favour of DuckStation and has become the recommended emulator.

New version of BizHawk is out version 2.8. This comes with a newer PlayStation core "Nymashock" this is a core that can be used in Linux environment (as well as DuckStation).

Mac users we didn't forget about you, OpenEmu is the recommended emulator for you fine folk.

Capturing the emulator's window is still a requirement, unless you're running on DuckStation where you must show the settings that you have it set to before/after your run.

And again be sure to join the Discord.

Hopefully by April 2nd emulation rule changes will be occurring.

RetroArch will be banned in favour of DuckStation and it will become the recommended emulator (that's if final verifications go well).

The BizHawk emulator will be minimum of 2.7 and not 2.4.1 due to many core changes but also it will have an alternative PlayStation mednafen core called "Nymashock" which gains some more performance which might help low end.

And also be sure to join the Discord.

Edit: BizHawk might actually be minimum of 2.8 as that emulator is getting an update before the planned date.

To follow with the minimalism design of srcom, the boards have been cleaned up and compacted as well to make it easier to select which category you’re after.

So if your run is missing because of this change (or is accidentally in the wrong category), hit us up on the Discord/Edit your submission.
