Chapter: Q and A

After the Jenny cut scene in the diner, you can grab the back door through the wall to save a few seconds. This is very easy to do and saves a bit of time.

Chapter: Strong Silent Type

The moment you have to talk to Venus, it's possible to jump at the same time. By jumping and then talking to Venus, Jackie's initial dialogue will be skipped ("You must be Venus. I'm Jackie, Vinnie's friend." ). Then you can press space to skip Venus' dialogue and move on. This can be annoying to get and you really only have one shot at it, but it's not too bad.

Chapter: Saying Goodbye

After 'beating' Bragg the 2nd ( gate with bridge ) and 3rd time ( gate towards final area ), you can get him to push you forward by standing in front of the gate. The distance of the push depends at what height you are when he pushes you, so having a nicely timed jump will boost you further. Any jump will always boost you a little, so you'll always save time, getting a really good push is hard to get.

After the first section of enemies, there's a gate that closes on you and turns some lights on, forcing you to walk around to shoot the light. By not going into the gate and breaking the boards on the right with your darkness arms, you can avoid having to run around and shoot the light early. It's in the second part of the video, the first part can't be done in every category.

Chapter: Saying Goodbye

After the second time you 'beat' Bragg, you will be in an area with some enemies and a gate that's blocked off by a light. By using gun channeling with the ability to shoot through walls, you can shoot the light early and avoid some enemies and save a chunk of time. Once you find the spot to shoot, it's fairly easy to get. Just make sure you have gun channeling ready for use.

Chapter: Fun and Games

After the first section of enemies, there's a gate that closes on you and turns some lights on, forcing you to walk around to shoot the light. Before triggering the lights to turn on, enable gun channeling, go in and shoot the light through the wall. This avoids having to go all around / break any boards at all. It's in the first part of the video, the second part is a backup that can be used in every category.

¤: for NG any%, these time saves involve having the darkness power to shoot through walls while in gun channeling mode, this requires a total of 3800 dark essence. Getting this much essence in a NG run requires getting several relics. Chapter: Q and A In the final room, the room where swifty is hiding in is protected by a light shining on the door. You can shoot this light through the wall using gun channeling powers.

Darkness%

Chapter: Q and A During the swifty fight, it's possible to spawn 3 explosive tanks to throw at swifty. It's more clear in the video how to do it. Make sure the second one you throw is the 3rd spawned one behind you.
