Ranking prioities

Hey there, I got a little problem here.

In the game I moderate, we have a category called "Low%". In all other full-game runs, of course the lowest time is the main criteria for getting a good ranking. However, for Low% we want the percantage achieved as main criteria and then the time of the run to determine the rank of the runners. E.g.: A 30 min run with 15% should be better than a 25min run with 20%. How do you set that up?

Finland

yes it is a speedrun.

the way Ocarina of time handles this is just having different sub categories for the ammount of items (of which you need all for 100%)

@TheMahr So to directly answer your question "How do you set that up?"—the site doesn’t currently support exactly what you’re trying to do.

One workaround would be to have runners put their completion percentage in the hours slot. Using your examples, those would read 15:30:00 and 20:25:00, so the 15% run would appear as better on the leaderboard.

Another way is just to make a regular category with whatever the the theoretical and/or achieved minimum is. Something specific like "15% Completion."

If the percentage is an easily tracked number, you could do what the Rayman 1 boards do with their low ting and damageless categories, where they sort first by number of tings/hits taken, and then by the time of the run. They use an additional "time" column to manually set the order based on these criteria, as there's no way to do that automatically currently.
