The default pistol (You have this at the start of all games) and the dual pistols stay black on the "UNLOCKS" screen.

2... Dropping mines or grenades randomly if you don't have time to aim them / Holding down fire as long as you have mines or grenades.

A mine is pretty much a guaranteed kill. Random is better than none. Grenades and mines dropped into the fire explode at the top.

4... Pressing fire randomly...

...but not when you have discs. Enemy density increases chances of hitting something.

5... Unlock all characters.

Dodge enemies instead of shooting.

I use https://obsproject.com for recording. Nobody's gonna watch an entire 500-point run. The fastest run may not be the most entertaining. Poor gameplay (near deaths, lucky dodges) may be more entertaining than skillfull gameplay. What do you enjoy seeing in a run?

12... Jumping over fire pits in Moon Temple.

A mechanical keyboard makes this easier. You don't have to jump going from the higher side to the lower side--Just run.

13... Jumping over enemies in restricted spaces.

14... Play on an SSD instead of a HDD.

This is a whole different game.

15... Play on a mechanical keyboard instead of a membrane keyboard.

Jump button works better.

When you respawn, you will immediately jump.
