Skipping cutscenes in SBW is vital and can be done in two ways: the rapid mashing method that has been previously detailed in this guides section, or the alternate method which requires fewer button presses, is much nicer on your hands, is usually faster, however is much more difficult in terms of timing:

To do the alternate skip, you need to hold down the "back" button on your gamepad (this skip can only be done with a gamepad) and, almost instantly after, flick your analog stick in any direction. Make sure to only flick the analog stick AFTER you press back, or otherwise you will get a normal speed cutscene in which you lose a significant amount of time.
