(This guide is relevant for 051 mainly, some informations might be not true for posterior versions)

Developer Mode enables a cheat menu that is useful – and must only be used - for practice. DM is allowed for level runs, as long as the cheat menu isn’t used nor opened during the run. DM is BANNED FOR FULLGAME RUNS.

How to enable DM:

• close the game if it’s open.
• For Windows: go into %appdata%\supertux2 and open the file named "config" with a text editor. For Linux (and possibly macOS), the path to config is ~/.local/share/supertux2/config
• in the first few lines of the file, you will find "(developer #f)", and simply turn the "#f" into a "#t", then save the document. Now you can open the game, and in the Options you can see a new, already selected setting "Developer Mode". Here it is. :)
• to disable DM, you just need to unselect the "Developer Mode" setting and exit the Options. Make sure you do that before any fullgame run.

How to use the cheat menu: Once DM is enabled, you can go in Options → Setup Keyboards to see a new "Cheat Menu" key, which you can bound to any key you want.

You can use the cheat menu: 1) in a worldmap. Therefore, you will access to these features : - Bonus: Grow → gives you instantly a big Tux with no powerup - Bonus: Fire → gives you one Fireflower - Bonus: Ice → gives you one Iceflower - Bonus: Air → gives you one Airflower - Bonus: Earth → gives you one Earthflower - Bonus: None → gives you small Tux - Finish Level → turns instantly the red dot of the level you’re on into green - Reset Level → turns instantly a level dot into red and deletes the level data - Finish Worldmap → turns instantly all the level dots in the map green - Reset Worldmap → turns instantly all level dots red, and deletes all level data for this world - Move to main spawnpoint → teleports Tux into the beginning of the map https://ibb.co/x81YzKh
