this is a good idea because more people can speedrun EtD without a Ps2/GC

I haven't done a run so I have no power in this matter. However, when I considered doing runs, the emu ban was kinda disheartening. I know that it's not really a big deal. You can do runs on emulator by yourself and not have to upload them to the leaderboard, but it gives some kind of incentive and motivation to keep going. If the mods think this is a non-issue I guess a Google Sheets can be created.

Emulator bans always suck.

I know they suck because it is possible to just make them their own category and my PS2 doesn't work I also don't have a capture card for it

U could just track ur times, regardless of using emulator until u can get the game/console. I agree on the spreadsheet idea

Emulator hasn't been added to the leaderboards separately for a numerous amount of reasons, 1st of which is down to lack of official ruling for what emulator (most likely would be Dolphin) would be used along with version, as well as different settings required for use. 2nd reason is down to a lacking of emulator runs / requests for emulator sub-categories, if more people are down for having emulator sub-categories added then they can be added as long as they will be populated / ran.

As Leo has said however, it's not an issue to have a Google Sheet set up for it, and if it's populated enough then it can be considered for the leaderboards, probably in Misc.

i agree i could also make videos about my runs on YouTube and maybe people will see its fun to speedrun enter the dragonfly since speedrun for minecraft have been popular maybe we can make these speedruns popular aswell!

If it helps the case to add a category for emulator, I'm in. I just did a quick any% run and It felt pretty nice. Would really like to do some any% runs here and there and be able to submit it.
