Can Individual Levels be added to the leaderboards? It can be used to optimize specific levels with demonstrations of these more optimized routes, maybe have them timed from pressing the level to hitting the goal. And have sub categories being with/without additional abilities

I did an Individual Level Speedrun with the timing mentioned above, if you'd prefer a different timing method, by all means, go for it. But this was more of a "demonstration" than an optimized run.

The idea of an IL PB tracker does sound like it could come in handy. However, I feel like adding something like that to the speedrun.com leaderboards would just cause the board to become too cluttered, especially if you start trying to include extra sub categories (all collectibles, vibeless, low%, etc). I looked at some other speedgames, though, and have a couple ideas. Donkey Kong 64 has an excel doc to track a variety of arbitrary run categories, similar to what you were suggesting to include for SPP (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1EH_153kUe3PdgF3dDko8nYKn4vnuGH3GkQXKZ-vPvbc/edit). Super Mario World has a whole wiki page built will IL guides and videos (http://deanyd.net/smw/index.php?title=Category:Level). The latter example here is a lot more elaborate and would take a significant amount of time and dedication to build, but it is worth considering as a long term goal. For now perhaps something akin to the DK64 extra leaderboards is a good start. Other people feel free to share your opinion.

Well maybe on SRC we can have it just be Any% and Hundo? Then have toadless (specified collectible) no vibe. Etc. On a different board so that the leaderboard doesnt get clutter with less significant categories, and keep Any% and Hundo on here for more universal access to updated strats that really matter perhaps?

That's probably the best plan. As far as the sr.com leaderboards go, any% and 100% should be enough categories, unless some ridiculous game breaking skip/glitch gets discovered. Plus, we'll want to define straightforward rules for each category (any% still has no rules defined). We'll try to get those things added to the leaderboards soon. I'm assuming no one is close to doing a 100% run yet, especially with how long that's going to be, but I think it should still be added as a category sooner rather than later so runners have the option.

any% would really be defined as get form start to end and just list the timing process. For 100% list the timing method, then the collectibles required

A bit late to chime in on this one, but eh. I do think everything should be on one leaderboard, be it here or somewhere external. But seeing as SRC would get very cluttered, a manually managed spreadsheet (e.g. a Google Sheet) will suit ILs better, as the spreadsheet can be edited to organize everything nicely. I'll look into setting up such a sheet when I'm picking this game up. I've always been an advocate of a variety of ways to play a game, so I see this as an opportunity to run SPP in different ways.

There have been no extended discussions on this as of yet. As it stands yes video evidence is required, including scrolling through all menus to help make run verification easier. In general I prefer all runs having video evidence. Any% having a max time that requires video was a way to help encourage intro runners to keep playing the game and getting better without having to record until they hit the 2:35:00 point. The thought was that upon hitting the 2:35:00 threshold the commitment would make it more worthwhile to figure out a recording setup. I think having one category like that is enough. But if others think this is worth a discussion for other categories let me know and we can bring it up either in the discord or another forum thread (since this one is supposed to be about ILs)
