this was tricky to retime, but i calculated it from when mario began to hop off carrie from NCS (3:18:01.26) to when i hit my last split (3:58:19.53). i did split a little early but i'm still well within 40:18 range even if i ended time half a second later so i'll call that even
overall the chapter was ok, pretty dang good for a ch8 in a run that was on pace to be my first sub 4 (and it sure was). sub 40 not hard, just have to not make big ass mistakes
