Hi everyone, what JRPGs takes the longest amount of time to complete in a 100% speedrun?(Give me Any% if 100% isn't available) I want to try making a "Top 5 Longest JRPG Speedruns" video

From an EZscape video with a similar concept that I watched several months ago,
one of the longest jrpgs to complete 100% is
https://www.speedrun.com/baten_kaitos_eternal_wings_and_the_lost_ocean#100

The reason is that there is an item you have to wait about 2 weeks until you can collect it.

EDIT: nevermind, just read again the title of the thread, I'm dumb

I think this is closer to 25 hours now (could be wrong), but just no runs been done, but SMT DDS 100 percent is 30 hours currently: https://www.speedrun.com/smtdds/full_game#100

Nemesis% (basically 100% more or less) for FFX is currently north of 21 hours https://www.speedrun.com/ffx#PS2

This took some time, but I managed to successfully tinker with the API.

From all the games on the site, I took those that contains a category with the name "100%" or a variation of it (like "Pure 100%" or "100% Glitchless").
Then for all those categories (around 4500) I took the WR time, and sorted it all in descending order.

Note that this isn't exact at all, because this method doesn't check games without a literal "100%" string (like the Nemesis% category mentioned above), and it also ignores sub-categories (I take the fastest time across all sub-categories, so I ignore potential long runs in the other sub-categories).

Anyway, here is approximate results of the 30 top longest 100% categories on the site. Not all are JRPGs, but I don't know how to search those exclusively or if it's possible. If you want, I can send you the entire list.

There's one I can think of that isn't tracked on the leaderboards but has been ran at-least once, Digimon World 3 100%, it's around 86hr.

Just remember a lot in that list aren't JRPGs. 😛

It also depends if you want literal 100 percent runs posted on here, or to include theoretical 100 percent runs also. There's a lot of games that go from being 15 hour runs into suddenly being 40+ if swapped over to 100 percent. Which is why those typically just aren't ever done.

Persona 5, for example, would essentially require you to beat the game twice in a row from start to finish.
