IGT overpowering Real Time?

I was looking on the leaderboard and saw that alot of people have better IGT but worse Real Time. I think this is because Some People have better hardware than others. Take Any% No OOB PC for an example. Dylcat has a better IGT than MisterLo But MisterLo has a Real Time thats 5 Seconds better than Dyl. This could also go on with GCN with Load Times and Lag. I just think IGT would be better Even Though The standard time for games is Real Time

the problem is i think IGT would work for Any% No OoB but not for any of the other categories. 100% and 100% No OoB have the cutscene skip, which would become completely irrelevant with IGT. 100% and any% have different routing variations that make the menuing faster or slower. And I think the biggest problem is that there's the any% route that goes into the options during the run and changes the weather, which with IGT you wouldnt get penalized for at all.

(also id argue that even in any% No OoB menuing is part of the run even with how minor it is but id be okay with looking past that)

I agree that it would be fairer for IGT to be the standard rather than real time at any% not obb. I thought it was for the HW, but I think it is not the only thing because I improved approximately 3 seconds IGT temporarily beating Dylcat on Any% No Obb PC, but in real time there was not even 1 second difference on the same computer. (this run is not published yet), that fact confuses me and seems unfair, what do you think?
