The any% runs are ending half way through the final area. I thought the game ended when you did the heart to activate the credits. Why are the runners ending it at the half-way level in the final world?

After the DLC got released for Snipperclips, the developers changed the whole game! Currently, you can go to world 2 by doing the mini boss of world 1, rather than the boss level (so mocking birds rather than mega mocking birds). In addition, you can skip said mini-boss levels and advance the world afterwards. So instead of doing 36 levels, you can finish the game by doing 15 and skipping 3. 25/5 if you're doing the Full Game category (and bought the DLC). Unsure if you can skip the last one.
As for the credits, that spawns after completing the last mini boss you can go. So, Bedtime for Blobby if you do not own the DLC, and the toybox one if you DO own the DLC. Therefore, we stop the time before the credits to make it fair for everyone. Meaning, in an All Levels run, you'd get the credits in the midst of the run. You have to skip that, and return to do the final 6 levels. However, if you own the DLC, you won't see it if you're doing a "Base Game" run (you don't own the DLC).
^ Yes, it's a mess, for the sake of playability for the casual audience. And as an added bonus, every load is longer, and after the tutorial, you go to the main menu.
Pretty much exactly what Riekelt said. It's annoying as heck, but it is what it is.
We still have our old Version 1.0 runs as miscellaneous categories if you want to check that out and compare the differences between 1.0 and 1.1, personally I'm hanging for a fuzzy grey area method of removing game updates (seems they're technically different titles on a Switch) so I can play 1.0 again, because it is by far the superior speedrun version.
