Hello there everybody. I don't own a switch capture card. Now, I have been practicing things like spinpounds, and roll cancels for quite a while. I think I'm ready to start uploading some runs. now, am I going to be required to buy a capture card in order to upload runs, or can I just put a camera in front of my tv? (I do have one other alternative. Yuzu emulator. I could try to find some legal loophole and stream Yuzu. but then again, emulators might be banned making this pointless.)

thankyou in advance, I'm never gonna give you up.

ok so

  1. you dont need a capture card, and some setups with a phone can look better than some capture cards at times (check out BP31's quality, for example)

  2. emulator is banned so yuzu is not allowed. it's also not very inaccurate.

  3. if you really need a capcard, some of the old elgatos work pretty well. i think ive heard some people who've used just the regular hd capture for years with no issues. ive been using a pretty old hd60, which is ~$100. but alot of people use a hd60s, which is $180.

You can just put a camera in front of your tv, as long as the whole screen can be seen.
