Currently I am wanting to do ILs for Bowser's fury, and have come up with a way to do the timing and whatnot.

In my idea, there should be four categories; regular, amiibo, warpless, and amiibo warpless.

In all categories, the runner must use a file where none of the shines in the area the IL is taking place in can be collected. Other than that, any setup can be used. This includes using an amiibo even in no amiibo runs, as long as the amiibo is used before the run begins. To start a run, a player must go through the starting archway, and the timer begins as soon as they are through. The timer only stops when the last shine is collected.

In the regular speedrun category, warping is allowed, but the amiibo is not. After collecting one of the shines that must be collected in order, warping to the start of the area automatically allows the player to collect the next one.

In the amiibo run, both warping and the amiibo are allowed. For those of you who don't know, using the Bowser amiibo brings fury Bowser out immediately, which is handy for most of the Blast the Fury Blocks shines.

In the warpless run, neither the amiibo or warping are allowed. In this run, there are three ways to progress the three shines that must be completed in order. These are dying, going to a giga bell, and collecting a cat shine in a different area. Only dying and going to the giga bell are good options, and each one would be better in different circumstances.

Warpless Amiibo, that category I run, is where you cannot warp but the amiibo is allowed.

The reason there is warpless is for people who don't want to have to beat the game to run a less than 10 minute category.

Likely not. Adding another group of ILs this complicated wouldn't be easy. Also, it would require a rework of the IL boards with how it is built by SRC.
