So in Vallu's 28:24 they were very close to having 49 shines at the end of cycle 4, so i was wondering what would happen if you got 50 shines before the fourth bowser fight? Would the 50-shine version of the gigabell activate and let you go straight into the 5th bowser fight,(saving ages of cutscenes) or would you just have to do the 4th bowser fight and then wait 20 seconds for bowser to respawn?
I do this in runs because I’m a scrub and don’t do a route, 50 shines makes you do the fourth bowser fight and then the fifth after waiting a little.
Oh ok, so it probably would be faster to leave the 50th shine until the 5th cycle and use the rain time to get that one.
Or equally if you normally had time to get all 50 by the end of cycle 4 that extra wait time could be a safety net for getting shines if you messed up and missed a cycle earlier
