Straight out of MM3.HLP that should be in your game directory (translated from the german game version):

[big]HOW TO FIGHT AGAINST SPIEDERS[/big]

[big]Fights![/big] At he beginning of the game you can choose if you want to play as Skipper or as Sophie. They differ in their charakter style, strength and combat techniques.

Both have:

Energy Points: A number that shows how near they are to drop in exhaustion and loose their conscience.

Strength: Four numbers show, how hard they can how hard they can pounce. The strength points 0, 1, 2, 3 for example, show, that they can hit the enemy with this strength.

Accuracy: A number from 1 through 100 show the probability in which they can hit the enemy. The more tired they are, the lower their accuracy.

[big]Skipper[/big]

Energy: 25 (Note from me, max health is 22) Strength: 0 -1 - 2 - 4 (Note from me, 5 is max) Accuracy: 85

[big]Sophie[/big]

Energy: 12 (Note from me, it's 17) Strength: 0 -1 - 4 - 6 (Note from me, 7 is max) Accuracy: 90

[big]Example: A blue spider[/big]

Energy: 12 Strength: 0 -1 - 2 - 3 Accuracy: 75

[big]A typical fighting scene:[/big]

  1. Skipper/Sophie have the first hit (Press the attack button)

  2. Now you can hear and see, if Skipper/Sophie have hit enemy. a ) When it got hit, check how much damage was dealt. You see a number flying above the spider. This number shows the number of points, the spider lost.

b ) When no hit was landed, you can see the spider duck down.

  3. Now it's the spiders turn. She tries to pinch and bite.

a ) When the spider hits you, you can see and hear it. You see a number flying above the Skipper/Sophie, showing how much damage was dealt.

b ) When no hit was landed, you can see Skipper/Sophie duck down.

  4. Now it's Skipper/Sophie's turn again, and you can choose if you want to continue fighting or escape the fight. Escaping is a good idea, when your energy points are low.

[big]Sweets[/big] Our friends will find sweets on their journey. They are common sweets, but because you are a little mole, they work so well, that they give you a lot of courage and energy.

You use sweets, by dragging them onto Skipper of Sophie. There are different flavours:

Green Bonbons: They give between 2-5 energy points

Red Chilly Bonbons: They increase the strength of Skipper/Sophie. But you can't say by how much beforehand. When their strength was 0-1-2-3 before, it could be 1-2-3-4 after, for example. They keep this strength for the rest of the game.

Blue Peppermint Bonbons: Nobody knows, what exactly happens, when Skipper/Sophie eat a blue peppermint bonbons. Some say, can't stand the taste of peppermint.
