Hi, I was thinking if we could create a discord server for Sega Rally 2 speedrunning, mainly because we could gather all the informations about the game's techniques and all the progresses for getting close to the times of that japanese community. Let me know what you think!
I was thinking about it too, I think it's a good idea Brionac. I did notice that the also small SR95 community has a discord. It's common for games of the same series with multiple relatively small communities on speedrun.com to merge into one discord. Maybe it's worth popping in there and talking to the admins about us having our own channel. There's only 30 people in said server, one general channel and one for "other racing games". Ideally they can share moderation privilege's for a separate SR2 section. It helps spread interest between communities and it's a good way to grow both.
I guess we could try, but I already tried to help improving leaderboards for Sega Rally Online Arcade, which is moderated by the same person that moderates the Sega Rally Championship 1995 page, but got no response. I personally think it's better if we create our own discord.
Quick update, this evening I'll probably create a Sega Rally 2 Speedrunning discord server. I'll link it here and on the sr.c page as well.
Here, the server still needs some tweaks, but it's up and running. I'll also place it in the sr.c page as well.
