You can play the game on PS3 by downloading it on the ps store. I was thinking of doing this instead of setting my PS2 up.

Well, the emulator tag is meant for unofficial emulators. More than likely you'd just submit it as "PS3" (since the PS3's emulation is official software)... assuming the moderators here toggle that as an option.

PS3 is not an option as far as I see, hopefully the moderators will add that.
I personally don't see an issue with adding it as a platform and wouldn't call it "emulation" in the sense that the tag is likely meant for.

Yeah neither would i. I'm only able to run on emulator at the moment, but i managed to get the NG plus world record the other day

Also on a side note you could add a without loads option to balance emu runs. That way nobody is on an advantage but i'd imagine it would take a while to go through all the runs

Yeah without loads would be ideal so we didn't need to split anything but its kind of a pain with no in game timer and I dont have any idea how to make an autosplitter

so Autosplitters typically only work for PC games inately, just like loadless timers, however,

is super easy to use and works for both console and PC games as long has you have a capture card and/or a means to get the game feed & timer on the same screen.
Simply create a group of images and the program will do the rest for you.

P.S.S after you make the images, be sure to upload a Zip or 7Z file to resources for all runners

I remember hearing about an autosplitter thing. They had it in Crash 2. It basically looks for a loading screen and pauses the timer automatically. If we could get it to work it would be amazing

Nah you can use them literally after mission 1. You can get stuff like rocket launches for free. I wasn't sure if it was considered a cheat for i never bothered

I don't see any problem with it, but it takes a pretty long time to roll over there and input the code so I'm not sure if its worth it to save ~1000g

There's also 2 weapons (One is useless tho) and a flag which I usually use in my runs cuz it reduces your weight, so you might get the weapon?

Well its kinda OP in the first levels. Normally i would roll into the town anyway to buy a better canon but instead i could just get the rocket launcher. The codes also don't change so its fairly consistent. I may do a test run to see if its worth it
