I'm pretty sure it's due to the level leaderboard, where some people have made mass-submissions in the past.

I visit Speedrun.com daily and check all runs after they've been submitted. Up until now, all submitted runs were legit. But if it would ever happen that many people submit cheated runs, we can always enable verification.

Fair enough. I always get a bad feeling about non verified runs OpieOP
