Better SADX and DC mod are not allowed on this board, however, there is a category for it on the extension board, you can also play with character modded as long as it doesn't change gameplay:

Steam version of SA1 would be under PC Disc/Steam on the main leaderboard with all the other runs

So What About If I Just Wanted The Best Way To Officially Enjoy SA1? Would That Mean To Get Rid Of BetterSADX? if so why? is BetterSADX really Bad?

For runs on the leaderboard for the most part you can only use the vanilla game. The only mods that are used are in https:/​/​www.​speedrun.​com/​sadx/​resources under "patches" cause they just fix little errors like crashes and camera problems. BetterSADX changes graphics, some game features, etc. and therefore it cannot be used.

ok, i guess so. but before i'm done, i wanna ask you a few questions.

1. and i the only one who thinks that BetterSADX works, by just porting over the mod compatibility of the pc 2004 version of the game, and just ports it right over to the pc via steam release of the game?
2. If Your Not Speedrunning SA1, What's The Best Way To Officially Enjoy And play SA1? is it the DC version? or the pc via steam version with mods?
3. Does the input-mod of BetterSADX a new version of the input fix mod?
4. Does Using SA1 Retranslated Mod Speedrunable?
5. just asking, Is SA2 Better than SA1?

I don't have an answer for all these questions personally but 2 & 5 are both preferences. I'd say in terms of speedrunning SA2 may be considered better because there is more people on the leaderboards but they're two completely different games and can't really be judged together. Not 100% positive on what you mean by "fancy timer" however, here is a little guide to livesplit customization if this helps (any other livesplit questions you may have can also probably be answered in the video). To answer number 7, IGT is used so load times are not a part of the run and therefore even if you have a worse computer in terms of load times or whatever it doesn't really matter and they are all on the same pace.
I unfortunately cannot give an answer to 1 and 3 as I don't understand what you're asking completely, number 4 because I haven't used the mod and am unfamiliar with it so I can't really say how much it would change, and number 8 because I am not a moderator and I have no say in these things.
Hopefully one of the moderators can answer anything that I couldn't.
