A new route has been found that saves about 1 and a half minutes off the previous route. Shoutouts to Roy's chat for figuring this out. Note: This requires an FDS to get Minus World Ending, so WR runs will basically have to be played on FDS, NES with Everdrive/PowerPak or an emulator with FDS support from now on. Here's the new route, which could lead to a sub 6 (at least, in TAS):

- 1-2 (Clip through the wall in any way, go to -1)
- -1
- -2
- -3 From here, you do worlds/levels in any order you want. Here are the ones you need to do:
- 2-1
- 3-1
- 5-1
- 5-2
- 6-1
- 6-2 A good route that makes most fails early (3-4 minutes) in the run would do world 5 first, and then world 6, and then do world 2 or 3 in any order you want. With this new route, and potentially every strat known in All Coin Heavens, sub 6 MAY be possible. The question is: Who will do it? The WR as of me posting this is a 6:22 by RoyLGamer. Will post updates in the replies if there are other WRs, as I'm watching his stream right now.
Just gonna say, I really haven't seen SkyJax at all while I've ran this game, he's an inactive mod. Think PYTH0N would be a good replacement.

I'm planning on getting a NES soon. (Nothing to do with the input file rule, though). I have a question, though. Would an unofficial multicart (I mean, the 1 in 500 carts and 1 in 140 carts and stuff) be fine to run, or do I need an official game or official multicart (like the SMB/Duck Hunt)? If I have to get a real game cart, it's fine, but it'd be a little less money I would have, and I'm poor :P

The input file rule makes it a bit easier for TAS runs to slip by. All they have to do is just play back an fm2 file (of a run that's convincing enough, no crazy swag, L+R, ultra hard tricks), split convincingly enough and then just provide that video and the fm2 file and GG. Although, to get around that, you could require frame counter for FCEUX. If you're playing a movie, you'll see "153/2044" or whatever. If you're actually playing, you'll probably see "532 (No movie)" or "532".

1-1, 1-2, 4-1, 4-2, 8-4 known possible (1-2 through 4-2 verified, 1-1 theoretically possible, 8-4 first room is passable, 2nd and 3rd should be, 4th does not depend on the b button at all, 5th should be possible)

"Start as Small Fire" categories (Warpless / Any%).
Setting 0756 to 02 (Game Genie code for this is ZAIATY).
Mostly to give new runners an easy category to run, or to allow some people used to playing Mario 1 Warpless (or maybe new SMB runners using Fire in Any%?)
"One Warp" category (Small-Fire Full-Game is basically a Small Fire version of this, although you use the slower 4-2 warp route in that because you need to do Small-Fire in 1-4 (unless Small Fire in 5-4 is allowed? Mods/community, should we allow that?) parenthesis-ception lol)

Could we save another framerule with the fast accel mavpole setup?
I know the TAS isn't as optimized as it can be, but it's decent. Don't think it's bad enough that it loses 0.43 seconds to a human's playthrough. I grab the mushroom from the left to do a fast accel, to save time. If I grabbed from the right, I'd have to wait for Luigi to fall, which would be quite slow. For the first reason.. 1. There is no PAL version of this hack, 2. it was a joke. For the second reason, a movie file will definitely help if what we think happened based on video analysis is what happened. For the third reason, I know that, but it just gives a slightly bigger (by probably 0.01%) chance to catch him cheating. Plus, for this run, he doesn't even use splits. For reason 4, I definitely know that my TAS is unoptimized, but it SURELY shouldn't lose 0.43 seconds to a human playthrough that has zero fast accels, from a player that has probably been playing this category for about 3 hours. If someone can optimize a TAS or something to the point that it gets within a few frames of his time, I'll consider an unban and allowing his run back on the leaderboard. I'm not letting the run back onto the leaderboard until I get proof, whether it's a TAS or a human playthrough by a trusted player / mod, or maybe a segmented run that someone makes. Loopie says he looked through the run, and that "everything was illegitimate".
It's more of a Mavpole setup, but whatever.
First, you wanna do fast accel first frame entering the pipe.
The rest can be played the same, until the pipe. At this point, you'll want to do 2 frames of left in a specific spot in mid-air.
After this, you'll want to press left, and then press A for 9 frames, on a specific part of the top staircase. For 3 of those frames, you still wanna be holding left. For the rest, go to right.
Then, finally, do D50 inputs.
