Hi everyone,
I'd like to first apologise as I am new and working on my first ever recorded speedrun. I have downloaded LiveSplit and loaded the AutoSplitter from the resources section as a scriptable auto splitter.
In my first couple attempts at a run, the autosplitter seems to work at random before I retrieve the first battery? I may have it set up wrong either in LiveSplit or OBS. Any help would be great as I would love to put a time on the board.
Many thanks,
Grunk
So when writing it, I wasnt able to find the memory address for the Item amount of Batteries in your inventory. I had it split on map change so then it would always split for the final split at the end.
I'm currently having PC issues at the moment so haven't been able to update it :(
Currently, if you want to split on collecting batteries, I would disable the AutoSplitter and split manually.
I am able to use a tool that will extract the times from a YT video, so I can do that when verifying the run.
And welcome :)
@geometry dash, No problem, and welcome to the world of speedrunning! It’s great that you’re getting started with LiveSplit and auto-splitting. Let me help you troubleshoot the setup.
Use the auto-splitter’s debug or log mode to see what it detects. Sometimes, scripts have logs that show when they trigger splits.
Try a few runs with minimal setup to see if the auto-splitter triggers at the right time.
Make sure you’re using the latest auto-splitter script version.
