When you speedrunners do your runs, do you end the run when you think it's dead, or do you continue the run no matter how dead it seems?

Usually pretty early in the run, if theres a 3-4 cycle ambush, halt, or a bad key room, its a restart. Later on in the run, we usually just finish it unless its obviously bad. But ye, if we consider it dead, we just reset

Depends, if your best run is only like 18 minuets or more, i'd keep going and hope it's a good time, but if it's bellow like 16mineuts, goal, if i got large keyroom, i'll call it dead.

later on 15m or even higher need no key rooms, if so, you need a lockpick, or it becoms crazy dead run.

in my wr, ios run, i got ambush but it was only twice, that wouldn't be a dead run

if youre trying to get a pb or a world record, you have to reset a lot more often than you would if its just a normal warmup game or beginner speedrun. usually people reset within the first 25 doors. if it dies at like door 83, they just keep going because you might as well complete the run and you get free knobs

tbh if i see a locked room that doesnt have an easy key early on in the game (and if i dont have a lockpick) i reset. aint got time for that crap

i've been mostly just trying to beat the game to get money for shop runs but sometimes i still reset
