will there be maybe a second category for individual level records using the cut scene skip? or will all level records need to be done without the cut scene skip mod.

The Cutscene Skip was mostly just created for making it potentially more viable to run in Marathons, it only skips certain pre-rendered cutscenes which for some ILs wouldn't have any affect on time between using it or not. So it seemed a bit irrelevant to create a category for a mod that was mostly just made for a specific use in full game that doesn't translated across the entire IL board. Especially since no one used it for their full game runs anyways and we eventually removed it as a Full Game category just so we didn't have a bunch of empty categories. It saves maybe 15-20 minutes across a 3 hour+ run and only skips like 4-5 cutscenes. The rest can't be removed without crashing the game so it's more of just a cosmetic "Hey lets make this more friendly on potential marathon viewers" than a mod that can make any serious upgrade to the run.

For now ILs should generally be done without the Cutscene Skip mod. They're short enough it's not really a problem. If you run Full game with the mod let me know and I'll reinstate the Leaderboards for you on that end though it will probably be considered a Misc category still. Just because it's such an inconsistent mod for what it actually helps with. If we could have one that lets you skip any cutscene it would immediately be on the boards for every category and IL but since it's just a few it's not really a priority.

We've actually reached out to Dontnod a few years ago about a potential patch to allow cutscene skipping and they said they would love to and want to add a feature like that but that it was up to Capcom at this point and Capcom doesn't seem to want to put anymore money into the game sadly.

ah alright fair enough. I am using the cutscene skip while i learn the run because, when youre repeating the run over and over it saves a good bit of time. I know you said if it was added back itd be a misc category which is fine, i figured id submit it anyways just because why not since im learning it. and thought i would ask about the ILs too. however the point youre making for the ILs makes perfect sense, I will just hold off on doing them until i finish the whole run and am on a comfortable enough state to start doing full runs without the cut scene mod. thanks for the information :)

and yeah im not surprised about the capcom thing however that was really cool of dontnod at least. i was surprised you couldnt skip any. but it is what it is!
