Sheva NG routing

Generic tips: Hold open doors for each other - stand in the doorway til the person is behind you. If not, the door will close. Don’t ever reload automatically. Always reload through the menu during an animation. It’s easier if you put the ammo below the gun so it’s a quick drag-up. Re-adjust keybinds, sensitivity, and volume if you’re not the host since you’ll be dealing with a NG joining everytime. Host can preadjust prior to playing. When you join, make sure the servers look like this (Main server - RE5; backup server - host). Sometimes you will get random flags, and you dont wanna run the game on India server You WILL disconnect every so often, that’s part of the game.
Quick shooting rocket - dont aim with the rocket. Aim with gun, hotkey switch to rocket and shoot instantly,.

Generic routing: Handgun/Grenade Launcher/Sniper vs Machine Gun (you can do either character, but for money sake you have to commit). Heal on animations as well (aka one action while the other waits, etc).

1-1 Village

Let host go ahead. If you’re not host, re-adjust keybinds.

Goat scene skip - one of you go ahead first and hug the left side of the stairs, the person behind will not get the cutscene and be able to go on ahead. Utilize and just kinda memorize where the cutscene teleports are.

First dual action door - Action, aim, dual action (first dual door, you need to investigate it first, you can aim instead of cancelling for faster animation).

Village - kill enemies with knives. DA is 1-3 for amateur and you want to try to grab extra nades as you can as well as gold.

Around 3:40 (assuming you’re on our pace), stop killing enemies and stand in front and behind the box to the left of the gate. Sheva will want to get grabbed (shoot the hands of the enemies to have them drop weapons) and Chris will want to be aiming at the corner where the executioner spawns. Doing this properly will have the executioner move instantly, if not, he’ll chill for a couple of seconds. WR 1:33:52 RTA does not do this properly. Since nobody grabbed me during the cutscene. Time section begins once the gate is broken.

Grab nades, follow video routing. You want at least 1 fire, 2 frag nades. Kill executioner since this is timed. (2 head shots, couple melee, if you get comfortable you can toss knife hits in too). Kill as many enemies as you can. You will a combination of maybe 20-25 bullets (10 in gun, 15 in ammo).

Executioner treasure is worth 5,000 which we will skip a later chest for.

Good 1-1 should end at 8:40, bad one should end 8:50-9:00.

1-2 Uroboros

Run through first area. Second area, after you open the door to the broken ladder, turn LEFT (9:29 during the WR video) and cut through. WR does not have this as we found this out after. Follow the routing EXACTLY for optimal movement. Chris goes first. Left of boxes guy, right back of grab zombie.

Run through next area.

Chris grabs furnace key while you chill in the main area. You dont need to look at the door but Cosmic still thinks I have to so its a meme haha. You just need to be in the main area to activate the boss after Chris grabs key.

Uroboros. Two routes - left is faster but “harder” to do. Use video for visual cues.

Right route, both of you stand in oven after knocking down the gas can, shoot uroboros when he enters the oven. You’ll get a cutscene, go out and close it.

Left route, DO NOT BREAK THE BOXES, you want the boxes on the left side so Uroboros gets routed to you closer. Stand in line with the switch boxes and run into the oven as soon as Urboros hits the corner. Chris will not hesitate and just go hit the switch. You will stand in Chris’ previous spot til Uroboros lifts his “head” really high (signaling his charge), you will then run out of the oven. Uroboros AI will always go into the oven, but won’t leave even if the door mid animation closing. Use the time to adjust inventory however.

Run through area

2-1 Chainsaw

Grab Machine gun. Crisp movement into trip wires. You want Sheva to shoot this as her aim is switch level as opposed to Chris.

Find out what routing is comfortable for this area.

Dogs are not free, but remember they will usually aggro to Chris. (it’s usually right-left on first two dogs, left-left on last four dogs).

Next area, you’re gonna shoot both locks ahead of time for Chris twice. First lock is easy, second lock is a bit harder but you wanna stand a bit back. Sometimes the enemy will block you. Open the port door, shoot your handgun if you have more than 10 bullets. You want to be empty by Chainsaw.

Nade skip area - I dont fucking know what the cue is, just look at Cosmic’s video. You shoot the guys ahead while he’s doing it so they dont block you later. There is a audio cue.

Chainsaw - runup to him together, unload all your nades. If you missed nade skip, you’re obviously gonna have a harder time. Unload nades, double melee, start unloading your machine gun into his head (reloading while you’re punching him through menu).

Skip treasure (if you’re unsure in the beginning, pick it up).

2-2 Mines / Bat

Follow routing, pretty simple, doesn’t matter who shoots what.

Mine, have Chris grab lantern while Sheva runs ahead. Sheva has a smaller model so can bait out attacks easier. Chris will run opposite her. It’s a bit random where you can pass enemies, but follow your visual cues and experience, and you should be fine. WR has a perfect mines so utilize that.

Do the door while Chris puts down lanterns and heals you both.

The big mine area, you want to be within a couple feet of each other, as the enemies are throwing dynamite sticks. They’ll obviously miss Chris, but guess who gets caught in the back if you’re too far apart? Yep, you.

Canyon - all this part is Chris. Pickup diamon he shoots down and checkpoint reset when Chris gets the treasure on his side. The checkpoint is the first platform down.

Inventory - sell all treasures, sell handgun (if you didnt use all bullets, you’d be left with bullets and have to menu more), upgrade machine gun 3x dmg, 3x capacity.

Bat - Chris snipes it 2-3 times, you unload into its belly while he snipes it as well.

2-3 Driveby / Gigante

No routing, minus Gigante. Gigante attack patterns are RNG. Dont dodge ANY attacks minus the ground pound (you can shoot through the other attack animations). When he looks like he’s approaching a pole, shoot the red barrel in front of it to cancel his cutscene grab. World record video has WORST possible RNG (you can lose up to 30 seconds purely on his attack patterns).

3-1 Boat

You can drive, Chris can drive. It does not matter. Machine gun shouldn’t drive as you have to shoot a watch tower guy after the first piece. If you need to heal, have the non-drive heal you on the boat. Following routing on video. Spam F on the first side before the first treasure if you need a beatle (1,000).

Gators suck, nothing you can do. If the second gator spawns in the middle of the entryway, you literally have to bait it out backwards (there will also be a gator behind you so be careful).

Pick up rocket, quick shoot it at the wall where big boy and two small boys are (see video).

3-2 Oil plant

No routing, follow video guide. Utilize checkpoints. At the end of this chapter, you want about 80 in the gun, 80 as ammo. Assuming you are Machine gun Sheva. After chapter, sell all treasures, buy as many rockets as you can.

3-3 Irving

Super straight forward, only hard part is double gatling. You shoot left, Chris shoots right.

Irving - dont shoot the first Irving too quickly (you need his whole body to be above water to get the kill). Second Irving - quick shoot the water in front of Irving as it registers as a kill plain.

4-1 cave

Shoot flash vase for Chris, straight forward, optimal movement.

Ball movement (2,3,4) 2 ball and 4 ball are the best, chill in the middle and let them bounce. 3 ball is random just try to weave.

Statues are straight forward minus the second to last statue. Watch Chris go out of vision downstairs and count 1...2...3… and then go. Otherwise, you will spawn Deimos too quickly and they will grab you while you wait. See video 55:15 RTA

4-2 sun lasers

Sun laser routing is precise, that’s the best possible movement you can do. We tried everything.

Laser puzzle is also precise. Follow it, you want to be following a similar pace to each other so you dont instant kill laser. After chapter, sell all treasures, buy as many rockets as you can.

5-1 crab

Run through lickers. Hug right side to break dinwod after shutters lift. Shoot licker to protect chris. Run to elevator. Run to the end of the map. Heal while we chill in licker hallway. Pick up shit while Chris nades them. Grab machine gun ammo.
Chris/Shiva to rocket. Mouth.

5-2 Uroboros v2

Run past guns, hold door open since you are first. Run by guys, blow up office after stairs. Heal next area if you must. Run hallway past lickers. Conveyor room - drop down, run backwards to not trigger cutscene (or wall run) Run to end, shoot the barrel up top while on barrel route. Run to end, V action, double back. Run by bug. Drop, wait for box to pass by.
Break second box. (Controller switch). Sheva to rocket boss. Buy another RPG.

5-3 Jill/Wesker

Run, grab ammo if needed. (around 200 at this point) Run ahead as Chris stays behind to shoot ammo. Run to battery room at the end. Watch Bug spawn. Get on lift and RESET. Chris to reset the lift, you bring him to you. Heal during elevator animation docking. Run to end, treasure in the room to the right. Spinning big elevator, double action, run by 2 boxes, kinda right of the big vial thing and run towards edge. Dunno placement but it's two stops, before Chris has to rocket it. Big room - lower the bridge. Run all the way forward to the right. Come back, pull level so chris can do his thing. (shoot jewel). shoot lickers for him (first one most important). Watch your own licker. Get lickers off the wall best as you can. Cross bridge, pick up jewel. Aim at jil (Chris, RPG) grab items.
Not too fast. Seven chest hits. Sell treasures, buy rocket.

6-1 boat

Go ahead, hit checkpoint after Chris kills Switch guy (NOT BEFORE) (after big tank lift). Reset. Follow. You shoot thing for chris, he shoots yours. Pathing. Inside ship, follow pathing. Hug left in gun room. Reset checkpoint when up the ladder. Sheva to rocket gunner. Pick up card. Activate door when Chris picks up Card B (for checkpoint reset). Run to the end. Buy RPG.

6-2 Excella

F and V are dodges. AD to climb over. Wait for Chris to nade tentacles. Before staris, wait for tentacle. Left at the top of the stairs. Kill zombie for card. CONTROLLER Sheva left tentacle, shoot ground things for Chris. Buy RPG (Chris has to upgrade sniper)

6-3 Wesker

Run, left into drops. Shoot zombie for Chris at panel. Go left to big doors. Defend behind Chris while he snipes. Next room. Left duo switch. Defend. Chris to flash bugs, finish them. Heal while waiting. Chris to rocket, pick up card on right one. Checkpoint on Wesker (reset). Run forward, shoot him. Grab him so Chris can inject or vice versa Final wesker, run forward trigger cutscene, QT. Aim down at Wesker and hit the eye. Shoot Wesker. Timer ends when you press A+D final QTE.
