Just today i got the Xbox One X. Within ten minutes it became real obvious it was a big upgrade from my old original Xbox One. I'm sure the same could be said for ps4 and ps4 plus. entering and exiting your inventory is much faster, cut scene skips are smoother, and every load time feels as if its cut in half. to any runners looking for a competitive edge id suggest buying a newer version of your console. it really does make a difference. in the 23 minute run that is know as Separate Ways + id guess there is roughly 55 seconds of time save when comparing my Xbox One to my Xbox One X. this is ALOT of time lol

I've play on PS4 Pro since the start of this year and i have noticed a huge difference in the inventory and load times are much faster. Its probably due to the hardware from a normal Xbox One or PS4 to there counterpart Pro or X versions that makes games run better. But if you speedrun on console i would also suggest getting a SSD to make your console even faster if you want reduced load times.

finished my run (Segmented) a couple hours ago. after ten hours of in-game grinding I beat my old PB by a minute and one second. I now have a 22:09 in SW+

The speed difference to me between ps4, and ps4 pro, seems nearly as quick as the difference between normal ps4, and the ps3. It really is that noticeable.

yes. until they get the time to implement load removal for console it will be very difficult, if not impossible to compare runs on console to other console runs. I believe at the very least the (X) for xbox one x and (Pro) for ps4 pro should be placed at the end of the platform name in the leaderboards. I know this would only be a temporary fix but it would help runners understand skill might not be the only reason they're falling behind in there runs on the leaderboards. for the longest time I did not have a chance to get a world record on SW+ because my old xbox one simply didn't have what it takes to get the job done. in retrospect once I get a good run completed for SW+ my run will be close to, if not unbeatable.

We have sort of separated PS4 Pro from regular PS4 on RE4C using comments (as we know the Pro is much faster), but since we had no runners on X1X we didn't know if it made a difference or not. We will comment those as well on the site, thanks!

p.s. GameCube USB has the most consistent and fair loads of any console, with the differences between runners' loads being only a couple frames at most on the ones we've tested.
