Hi everyone. I am new here and have literally 0 experience in speedrunning or glitches. I do watch the stuff but i have as i said 0 experience in any of that.
Something odd happend to me on Inferno Mode the other day. STARS field manual in inventory. The burst handgun and the grenade launcher, some healing items, ammo. Thats it. In the pit fight at the end (the one before you have the last boss battle) i shot nemesis once with a fire grenade and he still lunged at me and i managed to dodge. Nothing special but i was very proud of myself. BUT the odd thing is the moment i did the entire battle was skipped. I dodged once in the middle of the arena/pit to the left and instantly got to the part where carlos saves claire and she leaves by climbing the crane.
I reloaded and tried it again and again (and died alot) but it never worked again. So no clue what exactly i did but can anyone who has way more knowledge than me explain to me wtf happend there? Is that a glitch? If so can someone recreate it?
Any information needed i gladly give cause i like watching speedruns so i thought i share this if it helps speedrunners skip a boss battle.
Never seen or heard of that happening in over 100+ hrs of game time and much practice speedrunning that game. Interesting though.
Is your copy a digital copy because mine is ans when my bit rate drops on my internet connections I get a lot of 1 off glitches not trying dismiss your experience I just have had a bunch of 1 offs myself and offering a possible reason as to why it happened but if it was a real glitch and viable its a game changer for sure

Yes it is a digital copy on steam. So the 1 off shot happens when ur game loses the internet connection or the connection becomes unstable for some reason and the bit rate drops?
Is there any way someone could force this on the game?
I'm assuming you already had the first Nemesis3 cutscene where Carlos talks to Jill and then Nemesis gets back up and roars, triggering all of the fuses on the tank?
So then you did a single flame grenade shot, dodged a lunge, and it insta-ended the fight?
