I was wondering what this rule means in the no intro Ng+ category on console.
"If streaming with a Capture Card, please locally record, in case your stream messes up"
I can only record my gameplay on the twitch App on my Xbox. I don't understand what "locally record in case the stream messes up" means
Also if I submit a run anyway, without "locally recording" and the footage isn't "messed up" is the run still valid???
If you're streaming from the twitch app directly then I'm guessing you aren't using a Capture Card. Basically a Capture Card gives someone the ability to stream a console from their PC. Locally recording would be do-able on PC rather than on the base console. So yeah if you submit a run without locally recording then it should get validated.
@BowserTenk sounds like you got it figured out but I just wanted to verify that YES your run is still valid if all you have is a twitch broadcast. I run the same category and I think the “locally record just in case” is more of a recommendation because if your internet causes significant lag in your stream then the run could be invalidated. More of a precaution but not a requirement to locally record.
