Variable Distances In Each Level
Updated 3 years ago by Delphox

I just want to leave this here for anyone who wants to attempt to speed run Raft Wars in the future.

I have noticed a lot of people who feel their shots are not hitting despite using the same angle and power in each level. This is because the distances between you and the enemy in each level are variable and that usually determines how high you need to aim to be able to hit your enemy.

The strategy to tell where to aim comes in the beginning after you begin the level. When the camera starts moving from the enemy to you, you will see a coconut tree (this is not the coconut tree next to you but the one closer to the enemy). If the distance between the tree and the enemy is close, that means the distance between you and the enemy is close. If the distance between the tree and the enemy is far, that means the distance between you and the enemy is far. Obviously the further you are from the enemy the higher you need to aim to hit them.

Here's an example using two screenshots in level 4 (they are linked in the bottom of this guide). The first picture shows the coconut tree right where the jet ski is. The second picture shows it much further from the jet ski. In the second picture you would need to aim higher than in the first picture as you are further away from the enemy in this scenario.

I hope this helps any future speed runners of Raft Wars! Good luck to everyone! :)
