Ever think about a category with no level skipping glitches? Such as IMG isn't allowed, but skipping from the left path of Boldan to the end of the level is! Wall glitching with the megaturrets and decoy glove is allowed. You must go to EVERY SINGLE planet. Maybe have this in both NG and NG+! Maybe this will give those PS3 players a chance at the record books! Maybe have this on all 3 of the original games!

I mean, you could run that if you wanted but it would not become an official category no matter how much you try and push it.

Those are hard to define. A small skip to one may seem like a major skip to another. Banning/allowing certain paths would become arbitrary and result in contradictions everywhere.

I think it's a good idea, if you can route the category and come up with a very clear rule set and propose it to the mods, then it might have a chance. But there isn't often categories added to the LBs

I'll see if i can come up with some and see if you guys like it!

But first ill do some research to make sure it isn't too close to the rules of another category.

This might seem a bit close to No Specials but I am putting it here for critique anyway:

-Begin with a fresh game file/Begin with a fresh NG+ Game file
-No planet skipping glitches allowed.
-Must take at least one step on every planet.
-Timing begins when you gain control of Ratchet and ends when the Protopet is defeated.
-Any use of the specials menu, outside of skins, invalidates the run!
-Mega turret/Decoy Glove clipping is allowed.
-Since no specials menu glitches are allowed, first person mode wrench glitches are not allowed.

Maybe if this goes through, do it for Up Your Arsenal and maybe RaC 1 if it is possible to speedrun without the Goodies screen.

One more thing; if i try do some experimenting, i'll need start a new game file since my old one is in a spot where i cant do anything.

also I do not have a PS2 copy of the game so if someone can help me with routing that would very helpful! I am available most weekends and later into the weekdays sometimes. This would be extremely helpful.
