Iowa, USA@Lafungo I want to add that CyndaKill is extremely rude and showed a lot of disrespect and also told me how much he disliked new runners asking questions. I originally contacted him about IGT allowance for MK7 via NTRBoot (Obviously not to allow it for RTA but IGT tracking as it is unaffected and does provide a recorded run of it) and tried to provide a case to him, though he eventually just ignored me, you might remember me briefly contacting you at one point around that time..maybe I should've talked to you more about it at the time. Only reason this is being brought up now is simply because you mentioned adding him fairly recently around the time I was talking to him. All of it was a infuriating experience.
I'm not trying to shame anyone, but the way he was and the image he has given himself shows. Most of my discussion with him was through Discord DMs. In the end, I walked away from the game and went on to another game to speedrun instead. I highly open you replace him with someone who is more capable.
I slightly misread, I forgot "Minecraft: Story Mode" was one of their (Telltale) games though it doesn't change too much regarding the reasoning for rejection.
We generally always try to let series mods add games because series mods have complained in the past with us adding games to them so we try to encourage people to reach out to them before its handed in our direction, it always depends on the game. If this doesn't end up as the case then I don't see an issue and the rejection can be amended.

First of all, coming off aggressive right off the bat does no good for me or anyone on staff it shows you have zero respect towards anyone on staff. I personally get tired of how aggressive people get on here while we try our best to get things done. While it wasn't myself who looked at your request you should re-phase your words if your going to publicly post about it, otherwise do not expect us to respond this goes for anyone.
Second, our position doesn't let us see who moderates what, only the total amount of games they moderate (yet another change that will happen eventually) and looking at your profile it doesn't appear you have a single run tied to a Telltale board which is extremely strange, which is most likely how they came to that conclusion.
Lastly, like it has been said a million times already towards a lot of people, you could of still provided this information into the "additional notes" section.
Now "I demand you" to listen to what I just said and to resubmit providing that information without being a complete ass.
Also keep in mind that school/college has been starting up since last week for a lot of folks and some are just getting off vacation, so I assume it'll be busy for another week or two before things speed back up.
So don't be surprised at some slowdowns right now, I'm a parent myself so this has been all top priority for me, I'll probably start getting back to the submissions within the next couple of days myself. One of us just recently got back as well so expect some requests to get pushed through.
As someone else said submissions can typically take up to two weeks depending on a lot of factors and the queue.
Reject and explain once again. If you give in to your feelings, you'll regret it and it'll cause worst problems further down the road when said person keeps doing it and knows you'll give in.

I think that got added right around the time new staff got selected and right before new rules were enforced (Had to look at the SRC twitter) so I want to say it got lucky.

I think I've seen this subject kicked around like a dead horse now for a long while now.
When people are provided with actual information regarding a rejection, people still complain anyway, in my opinion I think no matter how we choose to reject for a reason people will always complain and fight over it regardless as its been proven time and time again. Explain to us what makes it "notable", provide more information about the game, a lot of people do not do this and this is not our fault. Time and time again, we try as much as we can, it still doesn't mean a game would get accepted but it would go miles and beyond. This is something people need to understand and this isn't uncommon, many sites follow their own guidelines and ruleset but there is always a limit.
"Notable" is not a lazy explanation, there are lots of game that literally do not need an explanation on why it was rejected because its that simple, we get bombed with lots of games that just....I don't even know how to put it into words. When the few who get rejected complain on here, they are typically fine and we provide information regarding the rejection (and most of the time there is no issue). It's usually the people who have nothing to do with the game that get involved in the discussion and end up sparking some kind of argument just for the sake of doing it. For me I try to be insightful with what I see, if it turns ugly I just ignore it entirely because it ends up becoming worst (repetitive and redundant).
Again, I personally ask to actual provide more information about the game itself in the notes section as it goes a long ways, it may not promise it would get accepted but it still goes a long ways and has a better chance (We aren't perfect speedrunners, we're still human). Sometimes I feel people just complain more than they are to try and fix the problem (we can only go so far), it isn't like none of us don't read any of these posts but they get repetitive and redundant.
This is just what I've been seeing and what I personally feel. With that said, I'm no longer going to post in this thread, it has already been said in a forum post somewhere that eventually it will be known what makes things appear more notable among other things but it's going to be a while (rules request section on the site IIRC).

It's impossible to give you a straight easy answer at this time, if I gave you my own personal opinion it would be taken as the standard and facts of SRC, (it could create conflicted issues with different users and possibly the other content mods though we all try our best to follow what the stones are laid out to be) when it comes to every game that we get in the requests.
Though, it is planned to make it more clear on what makes something more "notable" in the near future, I assure you. Sometimes the problem is how to exactly word a rejection, there are a lot of people who don't take it well and would rather go on the offensive then have a kind discussion about it.

Looking too deep into this, if anything, reading the original post brings in itself contradictory.
Are you saying that all the games you listed weren't notable and we shouldn't of accepted any of the listed games?
Because of the logic you are applying, you seem to acknowledge that you knew they probably entirely weren't worth submitting but did anyway knowing they weren't notable (new or not) that we made a mistake of accepting certain ones?

Because 99% of Atari 2600 games are purely score based (which at this time we don't accept), nearly none of them you can complete. I can't speak for every Atari game on the site.
I figured it would be pretty obvious why it would be rejected and if you'd like to look at Boxing out of the Atari games....well...it really doesn't appear notable. It is about as generic as it gets when you compare it to the many other boxing games on the site already.
During some research, it appeared they seem to be very similar games if not the same with minor differences.
You are welcome to resubmit to explain the differences if they are dramatic enough to warrant it, though if that isn't the case you might try seeing if the moderators on the board would make it a different category. When people submit game requests we often encourage (or hope) people will use the notes page to put as much information as possible, we aren't perfect and can't know everything about every game there is. The more obscure the game, the harder it is to find lots of information on it.
Its all game by game case, I know for some titles it just doesn't work (Mario Kart 7) due to all the loading screen differences. Though what I've learned and seen is that this is generally fine for anything that uses IGT.
Personally, I think banning everything can be stupid. I personally just throw time penalties on things instead or I use a time "limit" you can get with it and going beyond on wouldn't be allowed. Otherwise all you are doing is shrinking down your own community and preventing them from even trying to get into anything if its their only solution. This is 2018, most people just stream attempts and love the appeal they get with it and many people would love to see actual runs from 3ds games.
People look too deeply into these things and seriously, for the 3ds? I think it should be lighten up with what I suggested not just with this game but others.
EDIT: @blueYOSHI I want to add that I did talk to Cosmo about NTR and what it can do. For now, it is accepted for this game.
It should be allowed, anyone who actually reviews their speedrun should be taking a look on it. All NTR viewing does is stream the gameplay, the framerate is limited due to the limitations of the 3ds (30-45fps generally, you'll never get a higher framerate with the software because the 3ds just doesn't have enough power to provide 60fps through wireless) and it is also very easy to tell if they are cheating during an actual run.
In no form or shape does it give you an advantage (This isn't like Nintendon't or emulators). It's just a way to stream the footage, and it does provide a good enough image to see clearly what is going on.
I would trust it over a photo-shopped image or an image you can barely even see. Considering all this, you can net a consistent 30fps which is acceptable. If a video posted looked very chopped otherwise, just reject it due to poor quality.
