can you use pictures to prove your speed run time in any way

and if i did video it what could i quickly upload it too instead of utube so people can view it with the link shown

Vienna, Austria

Pictures aren't really a proof, but work out on certain Games/Categories. But in general Videos are always save, so try to record it to show proper proof. If you Stream your runs, you are able to save previous streams on the Stream-Platform (Twitch at least). Then you can edit it online/create a Highlight and submit the run with that.

Picture proof is generally maintained game to game and sometimes by run times, so ask on the boards of the games that you want to run. Some games allow picture proof beyond a time threshold, (eg. WR run is 1hr, picture may be accepted for 1hr30m or longer,) whilst some won't allow evidence like that at all.

Streaming a game is certainly the easiest way of getting evidence, however since you're asking about alternate methods beyond uploading to youtube I'll assume your internet isn't that good. Unfortunatly, there isn't much else you can do, you would always need to host it on some video hosting website, though DailyMotion may be an alternative if you're just adverse to using YouTube.

In my Opinion. Pictures are also Proof , if the Picture shows the Ingame-Time.

You could provide a download link as an alternative, however it is best to have them on a video sharing site somewhere, because people are always wary of downloads.

Downloadable videos are fine. I recommend archive.org if you want to keep your videos hosted forever.

Hey guys where can I find my splits i/o ID ?

Each game generally has its own rules concerning video evidence. Some games require full video for every submission, others don't even require verification for submissions. Check your game's rules to see if this applies to you, but as others have previously said, it's often best to err on the side of caution and just record video if you're able to.

@ScarinfacT It's just the link of the page after you upload your splits to splits.io

This is a 5 year old thread and OP hasn't been online in 6 months. It wasn't necessary to reply to this thread. I also don't know what you mean by "picture in picture"

Some games do require the use of a timer, but it isn't common.
