Pacific Standard Strats

If you have some minor strats for Pacific Standard (including setups), share them! Below are mine.

In Signal, equip a mask when Lester tells you to lose the cops, and you'll drop down to 2 stars, which you can lose faster than the usual 3. Saves some seconds, I think it varies.

In Signal, use a Bati 801 (or another good stunting bike) to ramp up onto the helipad near Vinewood, rather than climbing the vents. Saves ~20 seconds.

In the final heist, when you arrive at the bikes, you are not obliged to follow the itinerary to the canyon. Go straight to the boat.

In Vans, the truck that Lester is looking for before you steal it "spawn" somewhere between Burton, Hawick or Alta. Depending on your speed to complete all the tracking of the vans and this truck that you have to steal is in perpetual motion. As the van's closest tracking team goes to the van, the other team can go to that area. To do better, while the driver looking for, the passenger can be on the map of the menu and watch when the truck appears if it is not found in time. If the team are lucky, she will find the truck to steal before it appears on the radar. If so, wait until Lester tells you to do it.

It seems that the vans all have a precise route (to be checked).

EDIT: Yes, the vans all have a precise route. A fast optimization is possible.

EDIT 2: It's more fast if it's the driver who search (whoever seeks, who drives), because he will not have to follow the passenger's instructions.

If you are on PS3 / XBOX 360, you can use a glitch. When you arrive to the bikes (Pacific Standard Finale), you explodes the bikes and you will have the opportunity to go to your garage for take your personnal vehicule. It's not faster, but the travel to the boat is more safe (Armored Kuruma for example).

PS: Don't do that if you do the criminal mastermind.

In Convoy, when you are in the mission menu, you must have 1 Kuruma Armored Custom and 2 Pick-Up Insurgent Custom. The 4 players will have to use the same Kuruma Armored Custom to get to their destination. Once you arrive, after destroying the Savage with the heavy sniper, you have to join the convoy directly without waiting for them at the bridge. You kill the enemies. When only a few enemies remain, the 2 players who have their Pick-Up Insurgent Custom request them from the interaction menu. Meanwhile, the driver of the Kuruma Armored Custom kills the remaining enemies. At the same time, the player who did not have a vehicle steals the truck. By the time the player with the truck leaves, the 2 Pick-Up Insurgent Custom should spawn to recover. As for the travel to the hideout, the player with the Kuruma Armored Custom becomes the gunner of the first Pick-Up Insurgent Custom; he will be up front to clean up. The second Pick-Up Insurgent Custom will only contain the driver; he will help the truck by pushing it to accelerate its speed.

I insist on the Pick-Up Insurgent Custom because it is better than the basic Insurgent Pick-Up. The speed and the weapon of this vehicle is better.

Edit: Say it to me if sometimes my explications seem blurry.

If you are on PS3 / XBOX 360 (it's patched on PS4 / XBOX ONE and PC), an helicopter can be found in several places on the map. You can take it to save a few minutes on your time, the motorcycles will be used only to join the helicopter. Here are the priority places where the helicopter can spawn:

  • The Vespucci Heliport at the intersection of La Puerta and Shank Street
  • The heliport on the roof of the police station on Vinewood Boulevard
  • The heliport on the roof of the hospital between Strawberry District and Davis District

I suggest going to the spawn of the helicopter on the picture (you have to jump on the roof with the bikes):
